Consultations

The basis for all veterinary care is the consultation with the veterinary surgeon. Our vets will take all the time in the world to examine your pet thoroughly, listen attentively to your history and then discuss with you what's best for your pet.

At Blacklion Vets we run an appointment only system so that you are seen on time. We never rush and we take time to listen to you. We offer lots of free services.

Surgery

From routine neutering, mass removals and wound suturing to advanced emergency ophthalmic, orthopaedic, thoracic and abdominal surgery - we have it covered.

Your pet will avail of our advanced anaesthetic monitoring and dedicated surgical suite. Only the best.

Dentistry

85% pets develop dental problems by age three, causing bad breath, pain and illness. We offer best advice on how to reduce this developing and then when required we have a full in house dental suite. Foundation member of Irish Veterinary Dentistry Society.

Weight Management

Pets can get portly! It might be cuddly but like with humans pet obesity leads to serious health problems such as arthritis, heart disease and diabetes. Our nurses run our Pet Weight Watchers Club.

Pet Travel

Thinking of travelling abroad with your pet? No problem. You'll need a Rabies Vaccine and Pet Passport. We'll arrange everything for you and offer advice on how to get there and back without quarantine - and what diseases to watch out for when there.
